Hostel Barra - Salvador

I had an amazing stay at this hostel. The staff were friendly and spoke excellent English. They went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. The location is perfect - right near the beautiful beaches of Rio and next to a supermarket. It's also in the prime area with lots of nice restaurants and a shopping center nearby. The hostel facilities were great, and they even organize events like a nice Samba Party. I highly recommend this place to meet people from different nationalities and have a fantastic time.

The hostel had a great location, with easy access to the beach and other attractions in the area. the staff was friendly and made sure to keep the hostel clean throughout the day. I enjoyed meeting amazing people and had a lot of fun playing pool with other guests.

some of the guests were quite inconsiderate, being loud and disruptive at all hours of the night. the air conditioning in the dormitory was too cold, making it uncomfortable to sleep at times.

The location of Hostel Barra is fantastic, just a stone's throw away from the beach and close to the lighthouse where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets. the kitchen is well-equipped and the beds are comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.

The hostel had a great atmosphere with friendly staff who were always available to provide helpful recommendations. We enjoyed playing darts and chatting with other guests. The hostel also had a tour desk where we could easily book activities in the area. The TV-room was a cozy hangout spot, and the free wifi was a bonus. Our family had a fantastic time exploring the outlet shopping nearby. a perfect place for families to stay and enjoy Salvador!

My children wanted more entertainment options for kids.

Our family had an amazing time exploring the outlet shopping nearby. We found some great deals and really enjoyed browsing through the different stores. The hostel staff were also extremely helpful in giving us recommendations and directions to the best shopping spots in the area. Additionally, the hostel had a fun darts game that we all played together, which added a lot of excitement to our stay. The free wifi was a bonus too!

For dads, it would be great if the hostel had a small playground area for the kids. They were looking forward to playing outside and burning off some energy, but there wasn't a designated space for them to do so.

The guestrooms at Hostel Barra are absolutely cozy with premium bedding and air conditioning, making it a perfect place to rest after a long day of exploring. The free WiFi is a great bonus too!

While some may enjoy it, personally, I found the shared bathroom in the dormitories a bit inconvenient. But that's just me!

Great location near the beach and lighthouse for sunset views. Well-equipped kitchen, sturdy beds, and spacious, clean rooms. Friendly manager even offered free coffee. Good WiFi and a fun atmosphere with pool/billiard. Affordable with helpful staff.

I had an amazing time at this centrally located hostel in Salvador. It was great value for the money and the room wasvery comfy and tidy. The staff were sweet and took really good care of me. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach and other attractions in the area.

The only thing that could've been better was the breakfast option.
